GL-4 80W-90 gear oil for the Datsun 240Z/260Z/280Z manual transmission. The factory spec is GL-4 (NOT GL-5 — the higher-spec lubricant is too slippery for the brass synchros). PennGrade 1 77296 is a yellow-can hypoid that meets the spec; one quart is enough for a fluid change with margin (factory fill is ~1.5 L / 1.6 qt).
